The new week's Billboard Hot 100 charts are now up (reflecting the week beginning this Saturday, 10/4/2025), and Teddy Swims' trending single "Lose Control" has officially moved up 2 slots from #9 (last week) to #7 (this coming week).  This song, track #2 off Swims' 2023 Pop album "I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), has already spent an incredible 110 weeks in Billboard's Hot 100, having previously peaked at #1 back on 3/30/2024.

Swims, a singer-songwriter who hails from Conyers, Georgia, is a relatively recent phenomenon whose bluesy, powerful vocals have attracted a solid legion of millions of fans, inaugurated his success with uploaded covers of songs previously recorded by Amy Winehouse, Shania Twain, and Michael Jackson.  Continued popularity followed, eventually culminating in a deal with Warner Records as well as a headlining live tour.  

Following earlier successes including his single "Picky," his 2021 debut EP "Unlearning," and his 2022 EP "Tough Love," Swims released his debut full-length album "I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) on September 15th, 2023, containing 10 songs with deeply self-reflective lyrics executed in a unique, emotional, storytelling fashion.  Lyrical themes on the albums' songs include difficulties in the world, struggles with mental health, love and loss, being open about internal difficulties with others, and eventual healing.
